I have been taking piano and singing lessons for several months now and both my teachers Florin Mantale (piano) and Sophie Nakou (singing) are great! They are very friendly, helpful, and, of course, highly skilled musicians. Lesson planning is flexible and payment easy, I really like this music school!

πŸ“š My Methodology

Especially because of my early age experiences in music schools, I do not believe in frontal education where students have to fit in a prefabricated cube, and where the teacher speaks and asks questions, and the student has to answer and cram. I believe it has to be a continuous interaction between us and just as everyone has his own personality, also everyone has his own way through which they can explore the endless world of music, without the chance to hate learning about it. So, I cannot say there is a β€œcarved in stone” method, but I have as many as students I got. And honestly, I believe this is the most valuable thing to get private lessons. So, the most important task of mine, as a tutor, as a private guitar teacher, to find your best personal motivational factors and your straightest way, which depends on your personality, age, attitude, experience, knowledge, and the genres of music what you like the most. And of course, to help going as far on this road as just you have imagined.

πŸ“š My Methodology

When I teach students of all ages, it's very important for me to see first what types of music the student is interested in. Even though my area of expertise lies with classical music, a student isn't necessarily interested in the same field. As such, even though solfege, theory, harmony etc are essential tools for a student that wants to open up the wonderful world of classical music, it absolutely isn't necessary knowledge to enjoy playing guitar as a hobby. It's important as a teacher to recognize the needs and direction the pupil requires in order to have a full life with the instrument, regardless of which instrument that is. My job is to show the pupil what they can achieve for the amount of commitment they wish to dispense. There's no right or wrong in having a meaningful relationship with music, we do what fills us!

πŸ“š My Methodology

Regardless if I am teaching an adult or a kid, I believe that every person's learning style is a bit different so it is my job as the teacher to find the best way to communicate to my students in a way where they can fully understand and have fun. It is my ultimate goal to create a nurturing environment where the students improve while also enjoying the process. Not only will the students learn the instrument, they will learn the basics of Ear Training and Music Theory as well. I generally really believe in the Charles Duncan Guitar Methods but I also mix with Pumping Nylon by Scott Tennant, and many other etude books such as Leo Brouwer's studies or Fernando Sor's. I am also really open-minded about listening to what my students want to learn. I love to hear what pieces they want to play because I can then create a path for us where we learn certain pieces and necessary techniques in order to reach the desired pieces' level.
